Intervention (we open, they overcall)

If they overcall on our GF relay:

If the interfere on the ask:

(a0) relay is doubled:
- redouble: 1st step response and something in the suit (askers XX is an offer, S1 natural, S2 is relay to go get to our normal responses
- pass: higher reponse and something in the suit. Now S1 is relay, redouble would like to play.
- licit: same shape as wihout double and no length or strendth in the relay suit

(a1) the overcall the relay on step 1:
- double: penalty (natural bidding if we bid on)
- pass: would have bid this one (asker's double is penalty, S1 furtheri relay)
- bid: unchanged

(a2) the overcall the relay on step 2 (generally we can't penalize this one):
- pass: would have bid first step ("minuspass")
- double: would have bid this one
- bid: unchanged

(a3) on higher overcalls: everything is natural, double is penalty from both sides

They overcall on the response: Summary: double of S1 and S2 overcalls is penalty, pass is relay and we get back the system. On S3 or higher overcalls on general principles (penalty double in GF)

(b0) if the double a response:
- redouble: would play it
- pass: might play it depending on the asked hand. With strength oe length in the suit he must redouble, otherise bid as nothing would have happened
- S1: relay

(b1) they overcall S1 on the response:
- pass: relay (asked hand's double: would play (natural bids if we don't pass), the rest is as nothing would have happened
- double: penalty
- bid: natural

(b2) they overcall S1 on the response:
- pass: relay. Asked hand's double: would have bid this one, the rest is unchanged.
- double: penalty
- bid: natural

1 - (X) - ?

1 response splitted: XX = 4+ , 1 = 4+ . the rest is unchanged (1: GFR, etc.).

1 - (1) - ?
1 - (1) - ?

1 - (2) - ? not by a passed hand
1 - (2M) - ?
1 - (two-suiter overcall) - ?

When both their suits are known then "comb":

This works against 2N showing +, and against a cue bid when it shows majors (Michael's)

Against Michael's our 3M bids can be SPL with both minors.
A little bit oddly but can work against a Ghestem cuebid too. (which is ), where we have many bids (2 can be NAT competitive, 2 = competitive or GF , 3 = competitive or GF , 3 game try).
Partly works vs 1-(3) Ghestem (showing both majors). Here double = game try , 3 = game try (good competitive), 3 = GF , 3 = GF .
1 - (p) - 1 - (vmi) - ?

1M - (plain overcall) - ?
1M - (twosuiter overcall) - ?

When both suits are known then "comb":

This works vs 1M-(2N) showing both minors, and vs a cue bids when it is Ghestem (oM+).
Partly works vs 1M-(3) Ghestem (=oM+). Here double = not GF, 3 = competitive v. GF M, 3oM = GF).
1 - (1N) - ?

2 - (p) - 2 - (X) - ?
- P: weak One-suiter hand. Reopening XX: offers to play it, 2M (=5-4M), 2N, 3 (was) a game try, 3M = NAT GF, 3 GF, looking for a stopper, here 3 = max. semistopper (now 3 asks to bid 3N with semistopper 3N), 3 = full stopper (empty ace or king), which may be better to play from partner's side, 3N = good (1,5+) stopper, wants to declare
- XX: 4-card , Responder's 2 NF, 3 = GFR following the compact 2-suiter scheme, 3 = R
- 2: 4-card , Responder's 2 NF, 3 = GFR following the compact 2-suiter scheme, 3 = R
- 2: strong one-suiter hand without a stopper. Responder's 2N is singleton ask
- 2N: strong one-suiter hand with stopper, denies shortness
- 3: weak ones-uiter hand, but with good
- 3: solid , without stopper
- 3: strong one-suiter hand, SPL with stopper
- 3N: solid , with stopper

Doubles

Gudelines to our doubles, i.e. which ones are for takeout and which ones are penalty.
Base peinciple: undefined doubles are generelly takeout except the lements of this list:
